Job Purpose

Support the Head of Investments and Performance Management in ensuring the continuing success of the VEN Group through the effective management of investments, internal projects and external contracts.

Job Summary

1. The post holder will play an essential part in supporting and providing a comprehensive Business Performance Management services delivery that enables VEN Group to be a high performing organisation. This will include being a key driver of operational excellence and continuous performance improvement.

2. Responsibilities include the day to day organisation of all aspects of performance management and the delivery of an effective Business Performance Management framework with support from line manager and others within the organisation.
 
Key Responsibilities

Responsible for:

1. Providing a comprehensive investment and performance management service delivery that enables VEN Group, Brokers/Introducers, Bid Directors, key VF participants and VEN member grades, and potential members, to operate efficiently and effectively in respect of VEN activity.

2. At own level, day to day organisation of all aspects of performance management processes, quality and delivery with support from line manager and others within the organisation.

3. The provision of robust performance management services, including variances analysis, resource planning, and the overall coordination of projects.

4. Supporting the development and facilitating the implementation of VEN’s corporate strategy and performance framework.

5. Ensuring the collection, collation, interpretation and dissemination of key performance intelligence across departments.

6. Producing timely performance management, monitoring, forecasting, target and corrective action reports to ensure departments performance is maintained at high levels and improves where required.

7. Managing and prioritising own workload with guidance from line manager.

8. Ensuring that proper accounting, payment and financial audit trail practices are used and adhered to in accordance with appropriate regulations and best practice.

9. Maintaining proper records of instruction, activity and outputs with an audit trail consistent with VEN Group policy and best practice.

10. Application of governance and quality assurance throughout the performance management and administration processes and activity.

11. Contributing to the wider objectives and direction of the VEN team and Group.

12. Providing day to day coordination of any internal and external resource within the investment and performance management team in line with group policy and best practice.

13. Assist with the writing or up-grading of policies, procedures and protocols to support VEN processes.

14. Deputise for the Head of Investments and Performance Management when required.

15. Achieve key performance objectives on a continuous basis with robust process and planning.

Specific KPIs will be agreed and set each year and detailed on a separate sheet.

Personal Development

All staff are required to be appraised by their line managers at least once a year at a personal development review meeting where progress made over the last year is discussed and agreed. Focus on the following year’s departmental and personal objectives will be identified, discussed and agreed.

• Previous experience of a business environment where sustainable business and profit maximisation is balanced with ethical considerations.
